This on my old Mac mini on which I had to wipe the internal SSD and reinstall El Cap. When El Cap was installed it also installed Safari 9.10.2. This worked fine. Late in the day yesterday the App Store wanted to update Safari. App Store 'thinks' that it installed 11.1.2 but it did not.
- A couple of weeks ago, Apple rolled out Safari 14 and a number of security updates to users of macOS Catalina and Mojave. The update, which came before Safari 14 rolls out with macOS Big Sur later this fall, allowed users to experience Safari's new design, privacy reports, and support for 4K HDR video from sites like YouTube.
- Apple Apple is calling macOS Big Sur the biggest update to its Safari browser since 2003. Tabs are getting a new design and will now supply a preview of the page when you hover over it.

You can upgrade to Yosemite from Lion or directly from Snow Leopard. Yosemite can be downloaded from the Mac App Store for FREE.

Upgrading to Yosemite
To upgrade to Yosemite you must have Snow Leopard 10.6.8 or Lion installed. Download Yosemite from the App Store. Sign in using your Apple ID. Yosemite is free. The file is quite large, over 5 GBs, so allow some time to download. It would be preferable to use Ethernet because it is nearly four times faster than wireless.

2. Razer cynosa chroma mac compatible. MacBook (Late 2008 Aluminum, or Early 2009 or newer) - Model Identifier 5,1 or later

4. MacBook Air (Late 2008 or newer) - Model Identifier 2,1 or later
